Role Overview

As a Lead Engineer in the Project Promotion Group, you will provide technical leadership for new system development projects, working hand-in-hand with project managers and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for architectural decisions, technical risk management, and guiding engineering execution end to end.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture for new system development initiatives
• Collaborate with Project Managers to define technical scope, estimates, and delivery plans
• Guide and mentor a team of engineers through design, implementation, and review
• Identify and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure quality through code reviews, testing standards, and best practices
• Communicate technical decisions clearly to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical lead role
• Broad full-stack or backend expertise — able to make informed decisions across the system
• Experience leading greenfield system development from concept to production
• Strong communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Business-level Japanese

Nice to Have

• Experience working alongside project managers in a matrix structure
• Background in automotive, mobility, or enterprise system development
• English communication skills
