[Software Engineer (Member Level)] Common Services Development Group — Tokyo / Osaka / Fukuoka

Role Overview
The Common Services Development Group builds shared backend services and APIs used across multiple KINTO products. As a member-level Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of these platform components, growing your skills in a collaborative, high-quality engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop features and improvements for shared backend services
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code following team standards
- Participate in code reviews and learn from senior engineers
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams on integration requirements
- Fix bugs, improve test coverage, and contribute to documentation
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience (backend or full-stack)
- Proficiency in one or more of: Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and relational databases
- Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred)
- Business-level Japanese
Nice to Have
- Interest in platform engineering or shared service design
- Experience with containerised deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- English communication skills
