Role Overview

This is a rare opportunity to build KINTO Technologies' HR organisation from the ground up, reporting directly to executive management. As Head of HR Strategy, you will define the people strategy, establish HR systems and processes, and build a team that supports a rapidly growing tech company within the Toyota ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute KINTO Technologies' people strategy in alignment with business goals
• Build HR infrastructure from scratch: talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, L&D, and organisational design
• Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on people and culture matters
• Lead employer branding and talent pipeline development efforts
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and DEI initiatives
• Recruit and develop the HR team as the function scales
• Ensure compliance with Japanese labour law and HR regulations

Requirements

• 10+ years of HR experience, with significant experience in a senior HR leadership role
• Demonstrated ability to build or significantly transform an HR function
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
• Deep knowledge of Japanese labour law and HR practices
• Excellent communication and executive presence
• Native or near-native Japanese proficiency

Nice to Have

• Experience in technology companies or fast-growth environments
• Background in HR at Toyota-group companies or similar large Japanese corporations
• English communication skills for engagement with global stakeholders
