Role Overview

The Business Systems Group develops and maintains internal systems that support KINTO's operational backbone — including dealer management, logistics, and back-office processes. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead technical implementation and contribute to architectural improvements across these critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend features for internal business systems
• Lead technical design discussions and code reviews
• Improve system architecture for scalability and maintainability
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical debt
• Mentor junior engineers on the team

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in backend or full-stack roles
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, or similar
• Experience with relational databases and complex query optimisation
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Business-level Japanese

Nice to Have

• Experience with ERP, CRM, or dealer management systems
• Knowledge of event-driven or batch processing architectures
• English communication skills
