Role Overview

As a Security Engineer in our Cyber Security Group, you will protect KINTO's digital products and infrastructure from security threats. You will work across cloud, application, and network security — helping to build a security-first culture across the engineering organisation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning
• Review application and infrastructure designs for security risks
• Define and implement security policies and standards
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into the SDLC (DevSecOps)
• Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in information security or cybersecurity engineering
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing or vulnerability assessment
• Knowledge of cloud security on AWS (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, etc.)
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
• Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, or security monitoring tools
• Business-level Japanese

Nice to Have

• Security certifications: CISSP, CEH, OSCP, AWS Security Specialty, or similar
• Experience with container / Kubernetes security
• Background in incident response or threat intelligence
• English communication skills
