Security Engineer — Cyber Security Group — Tokyo / Nagoya / Osaka / Fukuoka

Role Overview
As a Security Engineer in our Cyber Security Group, you will protect KINTO's digital products and infrastructure from security threats. You will work across cloud, application, and network security — helping to build a security-first culture across the engineering organisation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning
- Review application and infrastructure designs for security risks
- Define and implement security policies and standards
- Monitor security events and respond to incidents
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into the SDLC (DevSecOps)
- Stay current with emerging threats and security best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in information security or cybersecurity engineering
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing or vulnerability assessment
- Knowledge of cloud security on AWS (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, etc.)
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
- Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, or security monitoring tools
- Business-level Japanese
Nice to Have
- Security certifications: CISSP, CEH, OSCP, AWS Security Specialty, or similar
- Experience with container / Kubernetes security
- Background in incident response or threat intelligence
- English communication skills
