Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead complex modelling initiatives that drive product and business decisions for KINTO's mobility services. You will mentor junior team members and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to bring models into production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for demand forecasting, churn prediction, pricing, and personalisation
• Lead end-to-end data science projects from problem definition to production deployment
• Collaborate with data engineers to build robust data pipelines
• Mentor and support junior data scientists
• Communicate findings and model performance to non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to best practices and tooling within the Data Science Group

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning
• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow)
• Experience with MLOps: model versioning, deployment, and monitoring in production
• Solid SQL skills
• Ability to work independently and lead projects
• Business-level Japanese

Nice to Have

• Experience with large-scale data processing (Spark, BigQuery, Athena)
• Background in mobility, automotive, or subscription services
• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker or similar ML platforms
• English communication skills
