[Cloud Engineer] Cloud Infrastructure Group — Tokyo / Osaka / Fukuoka

Role Overview
As a Cloud Engineer in our Cloud Infrastructure Group, you will design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure that underpins KINTO's mobility services. You will work with a skilled team to ensure scalability, reliability, and security for systems used by hundreds of thousands of users across Japan.
Responsibilities
- Design and build cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, etc.)
- Monitor and improve system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with application engineering teams to define infrastructure requirements
- Drive cloud migration and modernisation initiatives
- Contribute to security hardening and compliance
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Ability to communicate and collaborate in a cross-functional team
- Business-level Japanese (for internal communication)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration
- Knowledge of observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Experience in multi-region or global cloud deployments
- Contributions to open-source projects
